What are Forms?

Forms are powerful tools for capturing lead information directly from your website visitors. Instead of manually entering contact details, you can create professional forms that collect data from interested prospects and automatically turn those submissions into leads in your CRM.

Forms are ideal for:

  • Lead generation campaigns
  • Event registration
  • Product inquiries
  • Newsletter signups
  • Demo requests
  • Customer feedback collection

Every form submission automatically creates a new lead record in your CRM, complete with the information your prospects provided.

Accessing the Forms section

Navigate to the Forms option in the CRM section of your sidebar. You'll arrive at the Forms page, which displays all your existing forms.

The Forms List

The Forms page shows all your forms as individual cards. Each card displays:

  • Form name - the title you gave your form
  • Description - a brief overview of the form's purpose
  • Number of submissions - how many leads have been captured
  • Created date - when the form was created
  • Status - whether the form is active or inactive

From this view, you can quickly see which forms are generating leads and manage your form inventory.

Creating a New Form

To create a new form, click the + Create Form button in the top right corner of the Forms page.

Using the Form Builder

The form builder provides a drag-and-drop interface to construct your form without any technical knowledge.

The builder interface consists of:

  • Left panel - displays available field types you can add to your form
  • Center area - shows a live preview of your form as you build it
  • Settings panel - allows you to configure form options and properties

Available Field Types

Choose from the following field types when building your form:

  • Text - single-line text input for names, addresses, or short responses
  • Email - specialized input that validates email addresses
  • Phone - formats and captures phone numbers
  • Textarea - multi-line text input for longer comments or messages
  • Select/Dropdown - allows users to choose from a predefined list of options
  • Checkbox - for yes/no or multiple selection options
  • Number - captures numeric values only
  • Date - provides a date picker for easy date selection
  • File upload - allows users to attach files to their submission

Configuring Field Properties

Each field you add has customizable properties:

  • Label - the name displayed above the field
  • Placeholder - hint text shown inside the field before the user types
  • Required toggle - mark a field as mandatory or optional
  • Help text - additional guidance shown below the field to assist users

Conditional Logic

Create dynamic forms with conditional fields. You can set up rules so that certain fields only appear based on the answers provided to previous questions. This keeps your forms concise and shows only relevant questions to each user.

Form Settings

Configure how your form behaves and handles submissions:

  • Thank you message - customize the message displayed after successful submission
  • Redirect URL - automatically send users to a specific page after they submit
  • Notification settings - choose how you'll be alerted about new submissions (email notifications, in-app alerts, etc.)

Sharing and Embedding Your Form

Once your form is complete, you have multiple ways to put it in front of your audience.

Each form receives a unique shareable link. You can share this link via email, social media, or messaging platforms. Recipients can open the form in their browser and submit their information.

Embedding on Your Website

Integrate your form directly into your website using the embed code provided:

  • Iframe embed - embed the form as an iframe element on any page
  • JavaScript snippet - lightweight integration that renders the form on your website with minimal setup

Simply copy the embed code and paste it into your website's HTML where you want the form to appear.

How Submissions Create Leads

When someone submits your form, Ingegno CRM automatically creates a new lead record. The form fields you created are mapped to corresponding lead properties in your CRM, such as:

  • Name
  • Email
  • Phone number
  • Company
  • Other custom fields you've configured

This means lead creation is instant and hands-off—no manual data entry required. Your sales team can immediately start following up with new prospects.

Managing Your Forms

From the Forms list, you can:

  • View submission counts to track form performance
  • Check creation dates to manage form inventory
  • Toggle form status between active and inactive
  • Edit existing forms to update fields or settings
  • Delete forms you no longer need

Keep your forms fresh and relevant by regularly reviewing their performance and updating them based on your evolving business needs.
